Jim Leonard is a native of Santa Cruz who graduated from Harbor High School in 1975. He then attended the University of Santa Clara where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Commerce. Following graduation he went on to a successful nine year career in professional football. During his tenure in the NFL he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and the San Diego Chargers. After forced retirement from football due to injuries, Jim decided to channel his energies to becoming a mortgage loan professional of the highest standards. 20 years later Jim is still one of the most highly regarded mortgage professionals in Northern California. Jim is currently the president of Jim Leonard’s Mortgage Connection, Inc., head quartered in Scotts Valley, CA. Jim is married to his beautiful wife and business partner, Erin Leonard, and they are raising four wonderful children, James (14), Tonjia (12), Kira (4) and Jake (1.5), they currently live in Santa Cruz, CA.

Erin Leonard has been in the mortgage industry since1998.  Having started in Title and Escrow, Erin has a very well rounded knowledge of mortgage lending.  Erin has often been called “the best in the industry".  Her attention to detail and her commitment to her clients are unmatched.

Travis was born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Travis prepped at San Lorenzo Valley High where he met his Wife, Allison, and mother to his two daughters, Alyssa and Samantha. Travis excelled in athletics; Basketball, Baseball, and Football, as well as academics earning all-county and section honors. However his proudest achievement in school, besides meeting Allison, was earning scholar athlete award. Travis continued playing football in college. He started as the quarterback for two of the best Cabrillo College teams in 1997 and 1998. Where he earned 1st team all conference honors as well. Travis followed his dreams of being a scholarship Quarterback to Minnesota, where he started for his time out there. He then returned home to earn his BS in Finance at San Jose State University. Travis has been helping locals get into homes and structuring their mortgage needs since 2004. Travis specializes in VA and FHA financing.

Eric Imai graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1991. He has lived in Santa Cruz County for over 30 years. His local knowledge of the area and his ties to the community help to serve his clients needs. Eric has 8 years of lending, mortgage and real estate experience. As a past employee of First Franklin Financial and Wachovia Bank, Eric has first hand experience of the ins and outs of the lending community. His experience and connections in the banking industry make him a key member of the Jim Leonard’s Mortgage Connection, Inc. team.

Carol Foster has been involved in mortgage lending since 1982. Her established experience with home mortgage, construction and commercial lending served to build a corporate mortgage company of 8 agents with total sales in excess of 200 million. With Bank of America for over 17 years, she used her extensive private banking connections to generate 50 million plus in real estate loans. Her long term experience provides her with the financial knowledge and expertise necessary to help you make the best decisions with what is possibly your single largest debt, your mortgage, and single largest asset, real estate equity.

Having lived in the Santa Cruz area for most of her career, Carol believes community involvement and relationships with friends are keystones of her business. She’s been president of the Scotts Valley Little League and worked with the Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group. She’s been the ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, a member CAMB, a member of Soroptomist of Scotts Valley, and a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. These leadership roles helped form the relationships required to coordinate title companies, appraisers and lenders for a 93% closing ratio.
